The contemporary Mercure Kyoto hotel is situated in a popular area of Kyoto, just 1.8 km from the Hoju-ji and within 25 minutes' walk of Nishiki Market. Located just moments from the Jōdo Shinshū Nishi-Hongan-ji Buddhist Temple, the 4-star smoke-free hotel boasts Italian cuisine served at the onsite à la carte restaurant.

Location

The hotel is in the centre of the city, 2.9 km from the head Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine, and 950 m from Kyoto tube station. The Mercure Kyoto is nearly 10 minutes' walk from Shimogyoku Sogochosha-mae bus stop and in close proximity to the sprawling Umekoji Park.

Explore the historical sights of Kyoto, starting with the historic wooden Nijo Castle situated 3 km away.

The accommodation provides access to Karasuma train station, which is about a 25-minute walk away.
